01Quotes and prices
Prices on this website and on your quote include fitting at our Florida, Roodepoort workshop. A quote is valid at the time of quotation and is confirmed once we have checked your photos and vehicle details.
Add-ons and fitting away from our workshop are listed separately on your quote.
02Deposit and payment
Every canopy is built to order. A non-refundable deposit of R7,000 secures your production slot and confirms the build. No build is scheduled until the deposit reflects.
The balance is payable in full on completion and fitment.
Payment is by EFT into the FNB business account in the name Veld Armour (Pty) Ltd, using your quote number as the reference. We will never ask you to pay into a personal account or change our banking details by message. If anything looks different, phone us on 066 437 4661 before you pay.
03Order accuracy and changes
Please check your vehicle details, colour and extras before you confirm. Changes must be sent in writing within 5 calendar days of booking, and we will issue an updated order form.
We need two clear photographs of your bakkie, one from the rear and one from the side, before an order goes into production. This is how we make sure we build for the correct model.
04Lead time
Standard lead time is 3 to 5 weeks from the day your deposit reflects. We do not carry pre-made stock. We will tell you promptly if anything shifts.
A priority build is available for R2,500, subject to workshop capacity. Reasonable production time is still required.
05Fitment and vehicle preparation
Fitting at our Florida, Roodepoort workshop is free. Fitting anywhere else in South Africa is a flat R3,500, which covers transport and fitting.
Your load bin must be clear of existing accessories before fitment. If our team has to remove roll bars, covers, cattle rails or similar on the day, a removal fee of R1,000 applies.
06Finish and colour
Canopies are powder coated in Matte Black, White or Grey. We do not supply gloss or high-shine finishes.
07Warranty
Your canopy is covered against defects in materials and workmanship in line with the Consumer Protection Act, which gives you six months from the date of fitment. If something we made or fitted is faulty in that time, we repair or replace it at no charge.
The warranty does not cover:
- Accident or impact damage
- Misuse or overloading
- Repairs or modifications done by anyone other than Veld Armour
- Normal wear and tear, including stone chips and scratches to the powder coat
To claim, WhatsApp us photos of the problem and your quote number. After the warranty period, repairs are done through our maintenance service.
08Workshop visits
You are welcome to visit our workshop before you order or while your canopy is being built. Please arrange the visit with us beforehand.
09Photos of your canopy
We may photograph your finished canopy for our website and social media. Number plates are always removed before anything is published. If you would rather we did not use photos of your bakkie, tell us and we will not.
10Privacy (POPIA)
Veld Armour (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act.
What we collect: your name, cell number, email address, town, vehicle details and the photos you send us, whether through this website, WhatsApp, email or an order form.
Why: to quote you, build and fit your canopy, invoice you and answer after-sales queries.
Sharing: we do not sell or rent your information. We share only what is needed with service providers who help us deliver your order, such as our website form host and our payment provider.
Marketing: we only send you marketing messages if you have asked for them or are an existing customer, and you can opt out at any time by replying STOP.
Your rights: you can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Email info@veldarmour.co.za. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
How long we keep it: only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.
11General
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Nothing in them limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act.
